About programme:
Post Graduate Diploma Course (PGDC) in Thermal Power Plant Engineering – One year full time course is running since 1996-97 in different regional Institutes and at NPTI-HPTC, Nangal since 2009. Every year this course starts in August and admission is open for graduates of full time B. Tech /B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical. Admission through Common Entrance Test (CET)on all India basis for which advertisement appears in leading National Newspapers / Employment News/NPTI website in the month of April. The PG Diploma Course is having an exceptionally encouraging response in recruitment of these trained Power Engineers by Power sector utilities and allied industries through campus from this institute over the years. This one year PG Diploma course is for fresh and practicing Graduate Engineers.
Presently 6th Batch of PGDC-TPPE is running at NPTI-HPTC, Nangal.
The course covers the syllabus as per CEA, Regulations 2010.

Objective

The main objective of the course is to create a pool of technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment by the Power Sector Companies and allied industries in the area of Thermal Power Plants.
This PGDC (Thermal) is for those who desire to make career in the power sector. On successfully completing this course, the Graduate Engineers will find immense opportunities and preference in employment with various power sector companies.

Who may attend:
B.E / B.Tech.or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Power Engineering.
